NCI: RESVERATROL

Resveratrol is a molecule extracted from certain fruits and foods – mainly grapes and berries – and provides the body with a large number of beneficial properties for the proper care and maintenance of the skin.

This potent active ingredient belongs to the group of polyphenols, antioxidant compounds that combat agents that damage our skin cells and cause some of the signs of aging. In fact, resveratrol has the ability to activate the SIRT1 gene, also known as the longevity gene or sirtuin gene.

Properties. It prevents premature aging, is rich in vitamin C, and neutralizes free radicals for smooth, elastic skin. It improves acne due to its antibacterial properties. It increases collagen production and reduces skin irritations and blemishes.
