INCI: HYDROLYZED SILK

Composed of naturally occurring macromolecular filaments consisting of silk proteins, which, when broken down (hydrolysis), yield amino acids very similar to those found in collagen and elastin tissue proteins, but with slight differences in composition and structure, giving it a softening effect. It promotes the formation of young and healthy dermal cells.

Silk proteins, obtained through sophisticated technology, are composed of more than 18 different classes of amino acids.

These amino acids, with their very low molecular weight, can easily penetrate the surface layer of the epidermis and, due to their high water-binding capacity, have a powerful moisturizing effect. They create a thin film on the skin, providing softness and radiance.

The amino acids in silk have a repairing, moisturizing, antibacterial, antifungal, and antioxidant effect. They prevent dryness and protect against UV rays.
