INCI: Ascorbyl Glucoside

Ascorbyl glucoside is produced by the enzymatic reaction of a sugar molecule (glucose) with a vitamin C molecule (ascorbic acid), thus protecting the -OH group from oxidation. It is obtained through a biotechnological process.

It is a natural derivative of vitamin C, which has the same functions as ascorbic acid but without its drawbacks. It is a more stable molecule and suitable for sensitive skin. It acts as a depigmenting agent and antioxidant, and promotes collagen synthesis to reduce wrinkles and fine lines.
